(AGICOSINTERNATIONAL) - 29 July 2010 - CONCESSION FEES: DEALERS, SHOPS AND CORNERS ARE ALL CHECKED BY THE AAMS

The AAMS has started the inspections on concession fees that public gaming concessionaires are continuing to receive despite being declared invalid by decree-law on incentives. It seems that yesterday, some officials of the departmental inspectorate of State monopolies, especially in southern Italy, began carrying out inspections at dealers' offices, as well as shops and corners, to check whether or not payment fees are still ongoing. As a result of the audits, detailed and accurate minutes were sent later to the headquarters of the AAMS to be analysed. In a letter sent to the operators, the Director General Antonio Tagliaferri asked for "specific information on third parties negotiating business relationships: especially, as regards the fee to be paid by the points of sale connected to the land-based network of dealers". The STS-FIT had already sent a letter to dealers inviting them to respect the new law on royalties and, in the same letter, the union also asked the AAMS to take it on itself "to provide the relevant information, even at a special convened meeting".
