(AGICOSINTERNATIONAL) - 26 July 2010 - ONLINE GAMING: ITALY HAS RECENTLY NOTIFIED TO BRUSSELS ITS DIRECTORIAL DECREE CONCERNING “THE REMOTE GAMING RULES FOR THE COLLECTION OF NATIONAL TOTE NUMERICAL GAMES

On Thursday Italy notified to the European Commission its directorial decree concerning “the remote gaming rules for the collection of national tote numerical games” like Superenalotto, Superstar, and Win for Life. The notified project, linked to the draft decree which had already been notified to Brussels earlier last year, provides detailed regulations for the implementation of Community Law 2008 and is related to the obligations for the collection of remote games with cash prizes. The draft decree is composed of nine articles: the first three contain the definitions of terms used for the purposes of this ordinance, the identification of its scope as well as the subjects entitled to offer remote games. The other articles refer to:

- minimum contract requirements for the operation and collection of revenue from remote gambling to be signed by the dealers and retail outlets and approved by the AAMS ;
- specification of management systems;
- prerequisites for remote participation in national tote numerical games;
- adoption of the measures provided for in Article 24 of Law no. 88 of 7 July 2009 (Community Law) for the regulation of the gaming account ;
- rules for the payment of prizes ;
- transitional provisions and period of application of the notified decree.

The current standstill period extends until 25th October 2010.
