As for the knockout stage, the World Cup final between Holland and Spain was the most staked event. More than €18 million was wagered on the event, which is also the highest revenue collection for an individual game during the World Cup. Germany-Spain gain second place with €13.6 million in betting revenue, followed by Argentina-Germany (more than €10.26 million), Paraguay-Spain (€10.21 million) and Uruguay-Holland (€9.7 million). Overall, betting revenues amounted to €133 million for the knockout stage. The quarter-final match between Argentina and Germany offset the 1/8 final match between Germany and England in terms of turnover.
