(AGICOSINTERNATIONAL) - 05 June 2009 - ONLINE POKER: MICROGAME ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS MARKET LEADER IN MAY. POKERSTARS CONTINUES TO GROW

The month of May saw Microgame come in first among the operators involved in online poker for money. Microgame accounted for 26.6% of the total and generated turnover of €52.6 million, or a growth of 10%. Gioco Digitale reported a strong performance as well, with a turnover of €47.5 million. These foregoing operators on their own hold more than 50% of the online poker market in Italy. Pokerstars continues to grow. In May, its turnover amounted to approximately €23 million, up 41%. Snai, Sisal, Eurobet and Cogetech, all using the Playtech platform, showed an increase in revenue to €28.5 million from €25 million in April. That’s the data of each single provider:
